Our Castle Donington Distribution Centre is fast, flexible, agile and ever evolving to support the growth of our online business. As we increase its efficiency to accommodate higher volumes of customer orders. Are you someone who loves to take the lead and relishes responsibility? Then we have 2 great opportunities for Operations Team Managers on both Week 1 & Wk 2 Days to join our Inbound & Auto Chambers. Our site Team Managers on Days follow our two‑week rota pattern. The contracted hours for this role are 40.25 hours averaged over a 2‑week period. Start time includes 30 minutes shift preparation for guidance. The start and finish times are circa 5:30 am to 18:00 pm, varying slightly by area.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage people issues (including Wellbeing, absence, talent and performance management), ensuring consistent application of policy and advice.
  • Actively promote colleague engagement ensuring colleagues feel valued and supported.
  • Manage operational processes to improve productivity opportunities.
  • Support Shift Managers in planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels during the shift, aligned with planned and flexed volumes to support delivery of site Key Performance Indicators as defined by customer requirements.
  • Drive a positive culture of health and safety through leading by example and following standard process requirements.
  • Drive cross‑functional working as one team to ensure delivery of site targets, working at every stage to exceed customer expectation.

  • Ability to use data to make commercially led decisions.
  • Proactive self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Understanding of the impact of commercial decisions on the site and on other areas of the business, while maintaining a focus on our external and internal customer requirements for quality, efficiency and accuracy.
