Join M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Food section, where you\'ll be at the frontline of the UK’s fastest growing retailer.

We’re looking for down-to-earth colleagues who thrive under pressure, deliver five-star service at pace, and embrace the transformation we\'re driving.

You\'ll be a resilient and committed brand ambassador who confidently recommends and sells our newest food products to customers.

Through remarkable service you\'ll ensure customers feel valued every time they shop with us.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service and confidently recommend and sell our newest food products.
  • Utilise digital tools, such as Sparks and in-store devices, to enhance the customer experience and ensure customers get the products they want when they need them.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-energy environment and support colleagues in delivering a seamless customer experience.
  • Be flexible to work across various areas of the store and adapt to changing demands in the retail environment.
  • Help drive growth in sales and support store operations (serve, fill) during busy periods.
  • Work Pattern

Note: The +£3.00 per hour unsocial premium applies to hours worked between 22:00–06:00.

Requirements

  • Must be aged 18 or over due to health and safety legislation.
  • Digitally confident with the ability to use store digital tools and devices.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and remain sharp, fast, and focused when the store is busiest.
  • Strong team player with a proactive and resilient attitude.
  • Flexibility to work across various store areas and shifts.
