We’re looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to help bring our brand to life through bold, stand‑out marketing. In this role, you’ll support the development and delivery of integrated brand campaigns that generate buzz, spark engagement, and strengthen how customers perceive our style, quality, and value.
Working collaboratively across the business, you’ll help turn strategic priorities into compelling creative activity that cuts through, captures attention, and makes people stop and take notice. From shaping ideas through to supporting execution, you’ll play a key role in delivering marketing that is impactful, distinctive, and truly customer‑first.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s most iconic retail brands and contribute to campaigns seen and loved by millions. As part of our Campaigns team, you’ll support the delivery of brand‑building campaigns and seasonal activations, working closely with our creative agency and wider marketing teams to bring bold, integrated brand moments to life.
You’ll be embedded in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment, partnering across multiple functions to ensure everything we put into the world is aligned, consistent, and unmistakably M&S, with creativity and commercial thinking at its heart.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Support the development of clear, insight‑led briefs for large‑scale, seasonal and BAU campaign activity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Creative (+agency), Production, Media (+agency) PR, Social, Buying, Merchandising, and Internal Communications to ensure seamless end‑to‑end delivery.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of product information, value messaging, and key claims across all creative assets.
- Manage creative feedback and approvals (via agency and internal systems), ensuring timely and aligned input from key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation, timelines, and critical paths (e.g. MAP, Monday.com) to ensure delivery remains on track.
- Monitor and track campaign performance using PIRs and reporting dashboards.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Some experience in brand marketing, ideally within retail, fashion, or consumer goods, we value passion, curiosity, and creative instinct as much as years on a CV.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships across teams and engage effectively with external agency partners.
- You are a self‑starter who takes initiative and gets things moving – you spot what needs doing without being asked, and bring energy and ownership to everything you work on.
- You are naturally creative and curious – you look for fresh angles, bring innovative thinking to briefs, and have an instinct for what will resonate with customers.
