We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer with experience in Formal & Smartwear to join our Menswear Tailoring team. In this role, you will support the design team in delivering collections that are both timely and commercially relevant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting trend and market research.
- Developing clear and engaging visual presentations.
- Assisting with fit sessions.
- Supporting the product development process from initial concept through to final sample.
A strong understanding of knitwear construction, yarns, and techniques is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and fast-paced design environment.
What you'll do:
- Work alongside the JD / Designer to deliver the global product direction.
- Work with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time.
- Create CAD’s using Photoshop / Illustrator in order to show true representation of product for range reviews and PLM tech packs.
- Support the Designer to deliver Design Briefs to Indirect Suppliers when required.
- Support the Designer on producing a high standard of Tech pack and hit rate on Direct.
Who you are:
- Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace, and product design.
- Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs.
- High level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD.
- Multitask orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the Design and Buying critical path.
