We're looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Change & Controls team within Group Finance at an exciting time of transformation.
As M&S continues to strengthen its financial control environment and embarks on a major SAP S/4HANA transformation, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping how access risk, governance and controls are managed across our finance systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with a passion for governance, controls and continuous improvement.
You'll work with colleagues across Finance and Technology, providing independent challenge, valuable insight and expert guidance to help protect our business while enabling change.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Support independent oversight of SAP security, user access management and Segregation of Duties (So D) risks, helping to maintain a strong and effective control environment.
- Develop and enhance SAP GRC policies, standards and governance frameworks that promote consistent risk management and clear accountability across the business.
- Provide expert review and challenge of SAP role design and access models, ensuring access remains proportionate, appropriate and aligned to business needs.
- Deliver assurance activities, control testing and insightful risk reporting, using data and analytics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Finance, Technology, Audit and wider business partners to provide specialist advice, support compliance requirements and influence positive control outcomes.
Who you are
Your skills will include
- Experience working with SAP GRC Access Control, including areas such as Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Access Request Management (ARM) and Emergency Access Management (EAM).
- Good understanding of SAP security principles, user access management and Segregation of Duties (So D) controls within complex environments.
- Excellent analytical capability, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to translate data, risks and trends into clear, actionable insights.
- Confident communicator who can build credibility with business partners at all levels, providing constructive challenge and influencing effective decision-making.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and supporting positive change across Finance and Technology.
