As Finance Manager for Fashion, Home & Beauty Controllership, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting while providing the insight that helps drive better business decisions.

Leading a hard-working team, you'll combine technical expertise with commercial curiosity, working closely with business partners across the business to strengthen controls, improve processes, and support one of the UK's most recognised retail brands through an exciting period of change.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow performance.
  • Strengthen and enhance the control environment by managing risk, improving governance and supporting internal and external audit activity.
  • Work closely with senior business partners to translate financial results into meaningful insights, influencing commercial decisions across the business.
  • Drive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation, systems and new ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Who you are

Your skills will include

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience in financial reporting, controllership, audit or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing and motivating teams within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a robust understanding of controls, governance and financial statement integrity.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a wide range of business partners.
  • A proactive, curious and continuous improvement approach, with a passion for inspiring change and delivering better outcomes.
