What you’ll do:
As the Assistant Merchandiser Advanced you will take full ownership for budgeting, promotional and clearance markdown, in‑season trading and exit decisions and intake and volume plan. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Manage ongoing stock planning
- Provide reporting on supplier performance against KPIs
- Manage promotional and clearance markdown
- Manage in‑season and exit trading
- Coordinate stock allocation to stores
Who you are:
Your skills and experience will include:
- Working to at least Assistant Merchandiser level at a major retailer
- Passionate about M&S and the womenswear product range – confident initiating trading actions.
- Technical knowledge of the end to end buy to store process
- Experience of using the relevant IT support systems
- Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills
- Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Buying and Technology
- Strong communication and influencing skills
