Job Description

Tax Senior / Darlington or Newcastle – Hybrid / £45,000 DOE with Benefits

An opportunity to be part of an independent practice, with a team that encourages you to grow and shape your own role. They're looking for a Personal Tax Senior to join a team that will be involved in the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of some of the most wealthy and exciting entrepreneurial businesses across the region.

The Role

As a Personal Tax Senior, you'll work closely with the team to support clients on personal tax matters, while also preparing and submitting tax returns, and identifying tax planning opportunities.

  • Prepare of more complex income, P11D and corporation tax returns
  • Review work of and aid development of Associates and Senior Associates
  • Research tax planning issues
  • Supporting tax partners and directors
  • Undertake remuneration planning and liaise with the client as appropriate
  • Liaising with the client as appropriate with support from tax partners and directors
  • Undertake initial reviews of draft tax computations produced by audit and accounts colleagues
  • Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as required
  • Make suggestions for updating and improving the department and the firm's systems and processes

Skills:

  • Strong personal tax experience.
  • Ability to self-manage workload and work within deadlines
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA/ ATT Qualified
  • Practice background
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients
