Marks Sattin are delighted to be collaborating with a well-established business in the Retail industry, who are looking on expanding their Tax team in the Northwest. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast paced and constantly changing environment to join a fantastic business.
The Role:
They are looking for an individual with strong knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT who they can support and develop. This role offers the chance to work closely with Senior finance leaders, delivering a range of Tax compliance and advisory services across UK and International Tax's. The ideal candidate would be someone who is team orientated and able to maintain positive & supportive relationships with colleagues
Day to Day
- Prepare the annual Corporation Tax returns
- Oversee the preparation of overseas Corporation Tax and VAT returns
- Complete period end processes and monthly reporting for Tax
- Critically review existing tax processes, adopting a continuous improvement mindset
- Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasting and assist in preparation of tax forecasts and budgets for FP&A colleagues.
- Liaise with internal stakeholder and external advisors
- Support the Head of Tax in day to day queries
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding & experience working with Corporation Tax
- Experience working with VAT returns
- Ideally studying towards or possessing a relevant finance qualification
- 3 years' experience in a relevant role
- Experience liaising with different level stakeholders by articulating finance concepts to non-finance colleagues
