Senior FP&A Analyst β Professional Services
Location: Birmingham – Hybrid
Salary: Up to Β£60,000
A leading professional services organisation is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to help shape and steer the financial strategy of the business. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated FP&A function, provide insightful financial analysis, and support key strategic decisions at a senior level alongside managing a small team of analysts.

- Financial Planning : Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling processes.
- Analysis & Reporting : Deliver in-depth financial reports highlighting trends, risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.
- Strategic Support : Work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives, offering financial insights to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring : Track financial performance, identify variances from forecasts, and recommend corrective actions.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
- Process Improvement : Continuously enhance FP&A processes to improve agility and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with key stakeholders across Finance and the broader business to ensure alignment on financial goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education : Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a recognised professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
- Experience : At least 2 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, preferably in a professional or regulated services setting.
- Technical Proficiency : Strong Excel and modelling skills; familiarity with tools such as SAP, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Planful, or similar.
- Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
- Analytical Thinking : Ability to simplify complex data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Communication : Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptability : Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
