Interim Financial Accountant – 6-month contract
Fintech Business – London – 3 days a week in the office
We are recruiting for a fast-scaling fintech delivering financial analytics and credit risk solutions to some of the world’s most sophisticated financial organisations.
This role would suit professionals who are 3-5 years PQE as the successful candidate will be stepping up into a financial controller role.
Key Responsibilities:- You’ll report directly to the Finance Director and CEO, overseeing the day-to-day running of our core finance activities, including:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash flow
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Handling employee expenses and treasury functions
- Coordinating with UK and US tax advisors for filings and compliance
- Supporting financial process improvements as we scale
- We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on financial professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Immediately Available to start employment or under a notice period of less than 2 weeks.
- University Degree Educated.
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Prior experience in financial control or financial analysis
- Experience in managing international finance operations and multi-currency accounts would be a plus!
- A strong understanding of UK GAAP and key accounting principles
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- Experience with financial systems, preferably Xero or similar ERP tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Eligibility to work in the UK
