This candidate needs to be immediately available or have a short notice period with the vision to start before the end of April. We are working with one of our exciting clients in the machine technology industry who are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support their UK Finance division.

Location: Aldershot – Onsite with some flex

Salary: up to £55k dependent on experience

Industry: Machine technology

Responsibilities:

  • Keep detailed financial records in Xero, ensuring precise and timely balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Generate monthly management accounts, conduct variance analysis, and handle intercompany reconciliations.
  • Record all journal entries, including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and adjustments for IFRS9 & IFRS16.
  • Oversee credit control, UK payroll, and related HR functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage VAT submissions and intercompany purchase invoices, ensuring adherence to tax and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate year-end preparations, working with auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting standards.
  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support financial stability and strategic planning.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Expertise in Excel, including advanced formula proficiency.
  • High proficiency in Xero and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with IFRS9 is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle month-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Experience collaborating with auditors to ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting standards.
  • Skilled in managing payroll, VAT compliance, and credit control.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet stringent deadlines.
