Purpose of role: The successful candidate will play a key role in Data solution design activities on behalf of the Chief Data Office, ensuring that Data is considered as a key enabler at the very heart of any solution designs and operating models created. The Solution Partner leads engagements with, and acts as the key point of contact for business customers both to support BAU and change initiatives on behalf of Data Solution and CDO. She / He is expected to build a close working relationship and deep understanding of the business activities, business priorities and data sets they consume and create. They will work with and support the business to adopt strategic data capabilities, comply with data policies and deliver value through Data Solutions.
The ideal candidate has an up-to-date understanding of relevant Private Markets (Real Estate Equity / Private Credit) asset classes, investment products; understands asset management capabilities, data domains, data models, familiar with the vendor / service provider landscape within the industry, understands ESG data concepts and their application in investment product designs.
Principal accountabilities:
- Work with our customer stakeholders to understand their business goals, challenges, priorities.
- Work with our Business Change, CDO Team, Technology, and Operations partners to ensure end to end solution design utilises strategic data capabilities in compliance with applicable Data policies.
- Balance effective design with deployment of strategic / tactical components to suit each scenario.
- Work with our Data Operations and Marketplace teams to ensure designs are scalable, repeatable, sustainable and fully supported in a BAU environment.
- Deliver and or oversee the delivery of analysis artefacts incl. user stories, data flows, service descriptions, high level solution designs.
- Estimate the time required to design, deliver new data solutions.
- Develop appropriate data controls as part of user stories.
- Play an active role in delivering Data strategy, drive adoption of the Marketplace and core data capabilities and our strategic operating model while guiding users to solutions that are compliant with Data Management policies and standards.
- Manage stakeholders effectively, facilitate the right engagement between Real Assets and the rest of the firm, in particular with CDO, Technology, Change, Risk, Product.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Must have experience of working on Data project/s, with data domains in the Asset Management Industry.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the Asset Management Industry, asset classes and products, data vendors, methodologies, technologies and data domains.
- Collaborative approach to working with developers, architects, the CDO team and subject matter experts alike, to establish the facts, and ensure good communication of requirements.
- Experience of business development activities including the measurement of adoption of services and products.
- Aptitude for analysis and requirements gathering.
- Experience of designing data solutions – including data architecture, flows, controls and services.
- Good understanding of data governance concepts including data domains, data ownership, data stewardship and application of critical data element standards and definitions.
- Experience and knowledge of Data Quality dimensions and how to define DQ rules, metrics, validation processes and DQ Dashboards.
- Experience in running workshops with different business and technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to handle complex and difficult queries or situations.
- Demonstrate accountability and ability to adapt and improve.
- Ability to work quickly, against a deadline/changing deadline while maintaining quality.
- Ability to analyse complex data flows and map data movement at data attribute level, across operational business processes.
- A vibrant personality with a genuine and personal interest in data related business and technology current affairs.
