I am currently supporting a prestigious luxury FMCG brand in their search for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team in London (hybrid). The business has an outstanding reputation for nurturing talent a developing finance leaders. This is a key role to support commercial decision making through partnering with a range of stakeholders.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Performance and Month-End Reporting: Deliver insightful account-level profitability and KPI reports; prepare monthly balance sheets for accruals with risk and reserve clarity; support flexible month-end reporting needs.
- Forecasting and Financial Insight: Lead account reviews to identify risks and reserves; analyse sales and margin variances; support forecasting and scenario planning to inform strategic decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with account teams to interpret financial drivers; contribute to joint business planning and customer meetings; attend planning reviews and share key updates across teams.
- Strategic Planning and Reviews: Support budget and latest estimate processes; lead reviews of revenue and margin; provide long-term planning inputs and escalate off-template promotions with recommendations.
- Process Improvement and Project Support: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and reduce complexity; act as finance lead on key business initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
- Ad-Hoc and Team Support: Provide tailored reporting for account teams and senior finance leads; collaborate with analysts to align support and share insights across accounts.
The ideal candidate will be part qualified (CIMA/ACCA equivalent) and studying towards full qualification with previous experience within a Consumer/Retail environment. You will possess excellent communication skills in order to challenge and influence decision making with a range of stakeholders.
