A PE‑backed support services business is seeking a proactive and hands‑on Finance Manager to join its team on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Stockport, this role is office‑based (5 days a week), with some flexibility considered. It's a great opportunity to take ownership of core finance processes in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month‑end close and produce accurate management accounts
  • Oversee payroll processing and liaise with external providers
  • Manage invoicing and billing cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support budgeting and cash‑flow forecasting
  • Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial processes

About You

  • Qualified or QBE accountant
  • Strong experience across month‑end, payroll, and billing
  • High attention to detail and strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
