Marks Sattin are currently working exclusively with a continuously growing business within the facilities management sector for the role of Payroll Co-ordinator in South Leeds! As Payroll Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls. You'll be the go-to expert for complex payroll queries, including tax and pensions, and will work closely with both HR and Finance teams to support audits, reporting, and compliance. They currently have 2000 employees across their UK business, with further growth planned!

For this role, they will pay up to £33,000 and can also offer hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days at home).

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payrolls in collaboration with the HR Shared Services Team Leader.
  • Manage calculations for starters, leavers, backpay, and statutory payments.
  • Reconcile timesheet data and ensure accuracy in payroll outputs.
  • Handle pension administration including opt-ins, opt-outs, and contribution uploads.
  • Liaise with payroll software providers and manage payroll-related mailboxes.
  • Support year-end processes including P11Ds and HMRC submissions (FPS/EPS).
  • Provide payroll data and reports for Finance and audit purposes.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries with clarity and professionalism.
About You

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of statutory payments and pension processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining payroll matters to non-specialists.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
  • CIPP qualified or equivalent (or working towards).
