An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Management Accountant to join a commercially driven finance function on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact, supporting a busy division through a key period.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, along with clear insight into business performance. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone comfortable working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with strict group deadlines
  • Deliver variance analysis and commentary to explain financial performance
  • Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide accurate profit reporting and performance analysis
  • Assist with audit requirements and liaise with external auditors
  • Complete VAT returns and support statutory reporting
  • Contribute to process improvements within finance

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a complex or multi‑entity environment
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with experience working across multiple systems
  • High attention to detail with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, fast‑moving environment
