Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll operations across weekly and monthly payroll.
- Process high-volume payroll for approximately 1,600 UK employees.
- Ensure all payrolls are delivered accurately and in line with deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Supervise a team of 3 payroll staff, providing guidance and support.
- Manage payroll queries and resolve escalations efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation (tax, NI, pensions, statutory payments).
- Maintain and validate payroll data integrity within the system.
- Produce and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and submissions.
- Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll position.
- Strong experience managing high-volume payroll (1,000+ employees preferred).
- Hands-on experience processing both weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Essential: Sage Payroll experience.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring a small team.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
