As Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for strengthening the organisation's overall financial position. You will oversee day‑to‑day finance operations while working closely with senior leaders to enhance performance, manage risk, and support major organisational change. Key Accountabilities
- Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting aligned with relevant accounting standards and regulatory expectations
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, providing clear analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure financial resilience and operational agility
- Oversee financial analysis to identify efficiencies, synergy opportunities, and areas for investment
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring adherence to tax and statutory requirements

- Budgeting & Forecasting: Full ownership of the planning cycle, variance analysis, and forward‑looking financial insight
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Maintaining liquidity, optimising working capital, and strengthening cash management processes
- Financial Analysis & Strategy: Conducting ROI assessments, investment evaluations, and scenario modelling to guide decision‑making
- Compliance & Controls: Managing internal controls, audits, and compliance with tax and regulatory obligations
- Team Leadership: Building capability within the finance team and fostering a strong performance culture
- Business Partnership: Collaborating with senior stakeholders to influence financial and operational strategy
About You
You are a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in evolving environments and enjoys building robust, reliable finance functions. You will bring:
- Extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally at Financial Controller level
- Strong technical accounting expertise and a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- A track record of delivering high‑quality financial analysis to support strategic decisions
- A collaborative leadership style with experience developing and motivating finance teams
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong systems capability, including experience with ERP platforms and advanced Excel skills
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal control frameworks
- Knowledge of corporate finance, tax, and audit processes
- Experience supporting ERP implementations and wider business transformation initiatives
