A leading FMCG business are seeking a Junior Commercial Finance Analyst for an 8‑month fixed‑term contract. This role sits in the Commercial Finance team, supporting performance reporting, pricing, rebates, and key month‑end activities. A great opportunity to build commercial finance experience in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing
    • Support price change processes and file setup
    • Review Gross Profit and escalate issues
    • Analyse pricing claims and support reduction opportunities
    • Improve pricing accuracy reporting
  • Trade Spend & Rebates
    • Post monthly trade spend accruals and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
    • Ensure rebate terms and invoices are correctly reflected in SAP
    • Review accruals vs. actuals to avoid variances
  • Rebate Management
    • Manage the rebate interface between Visual Fabriq and SAP
    • Support month‑end reconciliations
    • Resolve daily rebate errors and challenge incorrect allocations
    • Lead Rebate Risk reviews and produce Sell Through trackers
  • Reporting & Month‑End
    • Distribute monthly actuals/forecast reporting
    • Identify automation opportunities
    • Own the month‑end calendar and key report distribution
    • Support Working Day 2 submissions and prepare commentary
  • Account Management
    • Lead the review process for a key customer
    • Partner with Sales on accurate actuals/forecasts
    • Support margin improvement initiatives

About You

  • Finance graduate with a placement year, or up to 2 years' finance experience
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Ambitious, proactive, and collaborative
  • Good Excel skills; SAP S/4HANA, TPM or BI experience a plus
