This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys combining commercial insight, business partnering and data analysis to influence decision-making and drive performance across a growing organisation. The business is currently investing heavily in its reporting capabilities, systems and analytical tools, creating a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to shape reporting frameworks, develop meaningful insights and become a key commercial partner to operational and commercial stakeholders.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in turning complex business data into actionable commercial insight. You'll support strategic decision-making through detailed analysis of performance trends, customer profitability, pricing effectiveness and revenue opportunities. This position offers significant exposure across the organisation and would suit an individual looking to develop towards a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance Manager role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and enhance commercial reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Develop dashboards, models and reporting tools to improve visibility across the business
- Partner with commercial teams to evaluate customer performance, commercial investments and growth opportunities
- Deliver meaningful insight around revenue, profitability, margin performance and business drivers
- Support pricing reviews through financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Assess promotional activity and commercial initiatives to ensure value creation and return on investment
- Assist budget and forecasting processes, providing challenge and insight to stakeholders
- Monitor and control commercial expenditure, ensuring robust financial governance and transparency
- Work collaboratively across Finance, Operations and Commercial functions to improve reporting processes and data quality
- Contribute to ongoing business improvement and digital transformation projects
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience within Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or Business Partnering
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and communicate findings effectively
- Advanced Excel capability and experience working with reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of revenue, margin and profitability drivers
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting activities
- The confidence to build relationships, influence stakeholders and challenge constructively
- Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
