We are delighted to be working exclusively with this exciting business as they commence the search for a new Financial Controller, due to company expansion.
Reporting to the CEO and (Fractional) FD who is approaching retirement, you\’ll manage reporting across multiple entities, lead post-acquisition integrations, and ensure financial rigour underpins the ambitious expansion plans. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and grow with the business, ultimately stepping up into the FD role in the next 24/36 months.
Key Responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the day-to-day finance function, managing a team of six (including Management Accountants, Finance Assistant, Payroll Manager and Finance Manager)
- Own delivery of monthly management accounts, P&L by site and consolidated group reporting
- Maintain strong financial controls, processes and reporting discipline
- Oversee statutory accounts, audit preparation and regulatory compliance
- Drive automation and systems improvements (Xero – previous experience desirable)
- Streamline data flows between finance and operational management systems
- Support transaction activity including due diligence, financial modelling and post-deal integration
- Assist with financial forecasting, multi-site budgeting and scenario planning
- Partner with the CEO and FD on cashflow, funding and performance insights
- Deliver proactive commercial analysis to support decision-making throughout the group
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a multi-entity environment
- Strong technical knowledge paired with commercial acumen
- Comfortable operating \”hands-on\” while driving continuous improvement
- Track record of managing and developing finance teams
- Experience in high-growth, PE-backed or acquisitive environments desirable
