Overview

A large, well-established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join its External Reporting team on an interim basis. You will be central to the delivery of high-quality statutory reporting and the shaping of technical accounting guidance across the wider Group. Apply if you enjoy technical accounting and are confident working with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements for the half-year and year-end cycle
  • Overseeing the production of subsidiary and regulated entity financial statements
  • Maintaining and developing Group accounting policies
  • Building strong working relationships with senior leaders, functional teams and external auditors
  • Co-ordinating the external audit process as the main point of contact
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes across the Group

Qualifications

  • ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience managing audits end-to-end
  • Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm is highly beneficial
  • A background working within a blue-chip organisation is also desirable
