Marks Sattin are partnering with a leading business in Leeds Centre LS1 to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their finance experience in a dynamic and supportive environment, mixing transactional duties with month end! Whether you're part-qualified AAT or actively studying towards a professional qualification, this role offers the perfect platform to grow your career in finance. Our client will offer up to £34,000 plus study support and can offer hybrid working!

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee cashflow across multiple bank accounts
  • Reconcile inter-company balances
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Assist with annual audits and statutory filings
  • Contribute to VAT return preparation
  • Support AP/AR processes and wider finance operations
  • Calculate and communicate commission payments
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and admin tasks as needed

  • Degree in Finance & Accounting or studying AAT / part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, advanced formulas)
