Marks Sattin is recruiting for a fast-growing PE‑backed business for a Group Financial Controller to work out of their office just outside Bolton with a hybrid working model.
The successful candidate will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified and must have worked for a complex business previously.
Strong technical accounting skills are essential and experience consolidating accounts would be preferable.
Advanced Excel skills are crucial and exposure to a PE‑backed environment would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent staff management skills are crucial as is the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Key duties for the Group Financial Controller role will involve
- Responsible for the group consolidated financial statements
- Lead on the timely delivery of management reporting
- Lead on improving processes and systems throughout the organisation
- Assist with providing financial information for acquisitions
- Prepare and review year end statutory accounts
- Responsible for the group VAT
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Produce and present key financial reporting
- Management of a sizeable finance team
Salary for the role is up to £100,000 plus benefits.
