We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager to join a leading consumer retail business in Central London on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end AP and AR functions, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic finance initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Monitor and improve KPIs to reduce aged debt and enhance cash flow efficiency.
- Oversee the working capital cycle, ensuring timely and policy-compliant order release decisions.
- Deliver accurate monthly reporting on AP/AR performance and cash flow forecasting, including variance analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of customer master data and conduct timely credit risk assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation, and enhanced internal controls.
- Support team development through structured performance reviews, training, and succession planning.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a senior AP/AR leadership role, ideally within retail or a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, with experience in system upgrades or implementations being highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement, KPI development, and team leadership.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
