I am delighted to be supporting a city centre professional services business on their search for an Accountant to join their high performing team.
This is a pivotal and rewarding position within the Accounting team, responsible for delivering high-quality financial processes and enhancing management reporting. The role plays a key part in maintaining accurate and compliant accounting practices, while also supporting critical control activities throughout the financial year across multiple global locations.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is integral to the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. The successful candidate will take ownership of key accounting processes and contribute to the integrity of financial controls and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Financial Reporting & Controls
Lead specific areas of monthly and year-end reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Drive process improvements to strengthen the control environment and enhance financial insight
Prepare reliable quarterly management accounts for the UK group and affiliated entities
Compile annual trial balances and financial statements for review and audit readiness
Balance Sheet & Reconciliations
Perform comprehensive reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, including payroll and distribution-related accounts
Maintain robust documentation and analysis to support financial integrity
Regulatory Compliance
Prepare quarterly UK VAT returns and associated journal entries
Support external audit processes by providing timely and accurate data to auditors in various locations
Internal Reporting & Journals
Deliver regular financial reports to internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
Prepare and post monthly journals as part of the month-end close process
Intercompany Transactions
Calculate and invoice shared overhead costs to group entities, ensuring transparency and accuracy in intercompany charges
Salary £40,000- £50,000- Depending on experience + Excellent benefits
