We are actively seeking a Fixed Assets & Treasury Accountant for a well established company in Manchester city centre.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Calculate and post depreciation
- Review capital expenditure, ensuring correct approval
- Perform regular reconciliations between the fixed asset register and the general ledger
- Support the preparation of fixed asset disclosures for statutory accounts and audits
- Manage daily cash positioning, forecasting and liquidity reporting
- Monitor bank accounts, including reconciliations and review of cash movements
- Prepare month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations relating to fixed assets and treasury
- Work closely with procurement, operations and project teams on capital projects
Qualifications:
- Is a part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
- Has fixed asset accounting experience
- Has experience or an understanding of treasury
- Has strong Excel skills
