A commercially focused Senior Finance Analyst is required to support the FP&A Manager across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role combines strong analytical delivery with business partnering, particularly across project-led teams, ensuring financial clarity, cost control, and project profitability. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-based environment with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- FP&A & Reporting
- Support annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles
- Deliver monthly reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights
- Build and maintain financial models to support planning and decision-making
- Contribute to WIP reporting and revenue recognition
- Business Partnering
- Partner with Project Managers to track financial performance and improve profitability
- Work with budget holders to monitor overhead spend and identify risks/opportunities
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- Controls & Governance
- Ensure accuracy across financial, HR, and project systems through reconciliations
- Maintain strong oversight of project financial data and reporting integrity
- Monitor timesheet compliance and support adherence
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement efficiencies across reporting and financial processes
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Proven experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or project accounting
- Strong Excel skills (financial modelling, pivots, data analysis)
- Experience working in a project-based or professional services environment preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
Systems Experience
- Experience with project accounting or project management systems (essential)
- Power BI or similar data visualisation tools (desirable)
- Track record of improving processes and driving efficiencies
