A large, well-established UK organisation is seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join its External Reporting team on an interim basis. You will be central to the delivery of high-quality statutory reporting and the shaping of technical accounting guidance across the wider Group. As an Interim Group Financial Accountant, you will be:
- Leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements for the half-year and year-end cycle
- Overseeing the production of subsidiary and regulated entity financial statements
- Maintaining and developing Group accounting policies
- Building strong working relationships with senior leaders, functional teams and external auditors
- Co-ordinating the external audit process as the main point of contact
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes across the Group
Requirements:
- ACA qualified or equivalent
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Experience managing audits end-to-end
- Experience from a Big 4 accounting firm is highly beneficial
- A background working within a blue-chip organisation is also desirable
