Senior Digital Business Analyst
London (3 days per week onsite) - Up to £85,000 plus bonus. Permanent.
Overview
A leading energy and commodities organisation is seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst to support a wide range of technology and process initiatives across their trading business. This role is positioned at the heart of the organisation's digital transformation and will have a strong focus on middle office change, where a significant proportion of upcoming project activity will take place.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and document detailed requirements.
Facilitate workshops.
Prioritise enhancements with stakeholders.
Manage dependencies across middle office and trading systems.
Support the evolution of applications into more cloud-native, data‑centric architectures.
Essential Duties
Partner closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, Back Office, and Technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into practical, data‑driven solutions. Engage in initiatives that improve trade lifecycle visibility, P&L and exposure reporting, operational controls, reconciliations, workflow optimisation, and related systems. Support the full application lifecycle: requirements definition, overseeing enhancements, driving analysis across interconnected systems, and ensuring solutions align with the business's trading and operational priorities.
Qualifications
Strong experience in an IT‑focused environment within energy or commodities trading.
Solid understanding of middle office processes and the technology landscape that supports them.
Experience with ETRM systems is a strong advantage, though not essential.
Proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and comfort operating within a fast‑moving trading organisation.
