I'm currently supporting a growing property organization based in Brighton who are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to lead their team. As Head of Finance you will play a key role in establishing the finance function for the organisation, assisting with the implementation of a new system and shaping the growth of the team. This role requires someone with a strong understanding of systems, a hands-on professional with great leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Help to establish the finance function and assist with the implementation of new processes, including building out a team, managing and spearheading the direction of the team.
- Lead the finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- A solid understanding of financial reporting, audits, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide financial insights and updates to the SLT with the ability to outline findings to non-finance professionals.
- Ability to lead to support property acquisitions, developments, and disposals.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team with the ability to monitor, review and oversee the work of the team.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have a proven track record of strong leadership skills. A background in the real estate or property sector will put you in good stead to undertake this role. In addition, strong communication skills, leadership, stakeholder management and the ability to motivate and inspire a team is key. You will be working closely with the Founder of the company and SLT and will be expected to be innovative in regards to ideas as well as approach.
With the organisation's plans for expansion over the coming years there is a real ability to grow with the business and help spearhead and guide the direction in which it does. The offices are situated in Central Brighton, with great transport links from the surrounding areas. The role requires a hands-on Head of Finance and as such will require 4 days a week in the office. The company offers a competitive benefits package and salary.
