An established wealth and asset management company is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join their London-based finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant with Group Consolidation experience (will look at candidates straight out of practice firm). They should be immediately available to start employment or have a notice period of no longer than 2 weeks.
Responsibilities- Oversee the Group Consolidation (UK GAAP), including intercompany loans and eliminations.
- Verify that subsidiary reports align with the company's accounting standards.
- Ensure statutory compliance across all subsidiaries.
- Ensure financial statements comply fully with FRS 102.
- Coordinate year-end planning, audit requests, and balance sheet reviews.
- Prepare consolidated statutory accounts along with subsidiary accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits.
- Prepare quarterly VAT reports for the Group.
- Support financial reporting on acquisition integrations, including fair value adjustments and goodwill calculations.
- Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, streamlining processes with key stakeholders.
- Fully Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- Financial Services Experience is preferred but not required.
- Multi-Entity Group Consolidation Experience.
- Immediately available or notice period of no longer than 2 weeks.
- Proficiency with Excel is essential; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- High attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
