Marks Sattin are partnering with a leading organisation based in Leeds for the role of Graduate Finance Analyst. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent Mathematics graduate with a passion for numbers and a strong grasp of financial modelling to launch their career in a commercially focused finance role. As a Graduate Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the wider finance team with data-driven insights, financial modelling, and performance analysis. For this role, our client will pay up to £26,000, offer study support (CIMA/ACCA), and hybrid working!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams
- Support investment appraisals and business case development
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and modelling activities
Essential:
- A 2:1 or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a numerically focused degree
- Strong understanding of financial modelling principles
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data clearly
Desirable:
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or VBA
- Previous internship or placement in a finance or data role
- Interest in pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA)
