The Fund Controller will play a central role in fund oversight of closed ended funds, reporting and investor transparency, working closely with senior leadership, deal teams and external partners. Hybrid working, London based office.
Rate: £450-£500 per day via umbrella
The Role
The interim fund controller will take ownership of core fund finance activities across multiple vehicles, ensuring accuracy, control and insight across reporting, operations and investor deliverables. Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of quarterly and annual fund financials, investor reporting and analytics
- Oversight of third-party fund administrators, ensuring data quality, timeliness and strong controls
- Preparation and review of management fee, carry and fund-level performance calculations
- Active involvement in audits, tax reporting and regulatory submissions
- Management of capital calls, distributions, cash flow forecasting and liquidity
- Maintenance of fund documentation compliance, including LPAs and side letters
- Production of valuation, portfolio monitoring and performance reporting
- Partnering with deal teams on investments and exits, assessing financial and return impacts
You’ll bring:
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
- 3-5 years PE or VC fund finance experience
- Experience within private equity, venture capital or alternative asset management
- Strong understanding of fund structures, valuations and investor reporting
- Solid technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and strong analytical capability
- Strong communication skills
