A highly successful private investment firm is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 3-month rolling contract.

This could easily extend to a longer term position.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant with 2-5 years' post-qualified experience who wants broad exposure within a fast-paced, high-performing financial services environment, working with a really nice bunch of people.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, month-end, controls and process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and closing month end.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment.
  • Produce VAT returms.
  • Preparing process flow notes.
  • Support statutory reporting and the year-end audit process.
  • Produce insightful financial analysis and management information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
  • Support regulatory reporting and other finance projects.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA qualified - Preferably Audit Trained
  • 2-5 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Strong financial accounting and financial control background.
  • Experience within financial services (investment management, private equity, banking, asset management or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-performing team.
