Overview
Marks Sattin is recruiting for a fast‑growing PE‑backed business.
The Group Financial Controller will work out of an office just outside Bolton and will be responsible for leading the finance function across a growing portfolio of businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the group consolidated financial statements
- Lead on the timely delivery of management reporting
- Lead on improving processes and systems throughout the organisation
- Assist with providing financial information for acquisitions
- Prepare and review year‑end statutory accounts
- Responsible for the group VAT
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Produce and present key financial reporting
- Management of a sizeable finance team
Qualifications & Skills
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experience working for a complex business
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience consolidating accounts (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a PE‑backed environment (distinct advantage)
- Excellent staff management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
