A leading energy and commodities organisation is seeking a Senior Digital Business Analyst to support a wide range of technology and process initiatives across their trading business. This role is positioned at the heart of the organisation's digital transformation and will have a strong focus on middle office change, where a significant proportion of upcoming project activity will take place.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and document detailed requirements.
- Facilitate workshops.
- Prioritise enhancements with stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies across middle office and trading systems.
- Support the evolution of applications into more cloud-native, data‑centric architectures.
Essential Duties
- Partner closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, Back Office, and Technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into practical, data‑driven solutions.
- Engage in initiatives that improve trade lifecycle visibility, P&L and exposure reporting, operational controls, reconciliations, workflow optimisation, and related systems.
- Support the full application lifecycle: requirements definition, overseeing enhancements, driving analysis across interconnected systems, and ensuring solutions align with the business's trading and operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in an IT‑focused environment within energy or commodities trading.
- Solid understanding of middle office processes and the technology landscape that supports them.
- Experience with ETRM systems is a strong advantage, though not essential.
- Proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and comfort operating within a fast‑moving trading organisation.
