Assistant Management Accountant
£36,000 - £38,000 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract London (2 days in the office)
A growing telecommunications business is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to progress their career, expand their technical skills, and gain exposure to an international finance environment.
Working within a collaborative finance team, the successful candidate will support month-end reporting, tax compliance, financial controls, and business operations across several European entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Manage intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
- Prepare VAT returns and maintain supporting schedules
- Liaise with external accountants and advisers across various jurisdictions
- Support the year-end audit process
- Provide wider finance support, including transactional accounting when required
About You
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role with exposure to month-end processes
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Experience with Xero is advantageous
