I am supporting a growing organisation in Altrincham as they recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This role is ideal for someone who loves technical accounting, thrives in change, and wants a genuine route into Finance Manager.
What You'll Be Doing
- Management Accounting & Reporting
- Full ownership of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting quarterly and annual reporting cycles
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
- Managing the end-to-end R&D cost process
- Preparing forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
- Challenging assumptions and partnering with SMT to explain performance
- Supporting the business through a period of structural and strategic change (great exposure for your CV)
- Leading on complex accounting tasks and identifying process gaps and helping implement improved controls
- Supporting new systems, data models, reporting packs and automation initiatives
What They're Looking For
- Ideally practice trained (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent IFRS knowledge
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis
- Strong Excel and systems confidence
- Someone who enjoys complex work, ambiguity, and continuous improvement
- Ambition to take on more responsibility
