The Job: Corporate Tax Manager
The Client: Global Investment Manager
The Location: London City Centre (Hybrid working)
The Role:
- Preparation of UK corporation tax returns.
- Identification and implementation of process improvements to streamline processes.
- Liaising with HMRC, including drafting responses to HMRC queries.
- Provision of information to local advisors who prepare the Irish corporation tax and VAT returns.
- Preparation of quarterly partial exemption VAT calculations.
- Responding to queries from the Corporate Accounting team and wider organisation with respect to corporate tax and VAT.
- Responding to queries relating to posting and processing of VAT.
- Preparation of the UK PAYE Settlement calculations and submission of the return.
- Improvement of processes / implementation of controls including use of AI where appropriate.
- Monitoring changes to tax legislation or tax authority practice and where appropriate.
The Requirements:
- ACA/CTA/ACCA Qualified.
- Strong UK Tax compliance experience covering both Corporation and VAT with at least 3 years experience.
- Strong Excel experience, ideally experience using AI to improve efficiency.
- Prior experience using Alphatax & Workday would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Country by Country reporting, BEPS Pillar 2, Corporate Interest Restriction rules and transfer pricing would be useful, though not a pre-requisite.
- Prior experience with implementation improvements in data migration.
