The Role: Legal Counsel (Litigation)

The Client: Consumer Lender

The Location: London

We are working with a fast-growing, customer focused financial services provider who is looking to bring in their first qualified lawyer with a background in financial services disputes. This will be a hands-on role where you will be managing and defending claims in relation to debt recovery, section 75 claims and all fraud disputes. This will be a varied role where you will be managing the paralegal function and working on all legal matters (including commercial contracts).

The successful candidate:

  • 3-5 years PQE
  • England and Wales Qualified Lawyer (Barristers also of interest) with proven experience in FS disputes, especially debt recovery and consumer credit disputes.
  • Currently working within or with a lender, consumer credit businesses or financial services business.
  • Happy to accept applicants from Lawyers currently in Private Practice.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and managing/supervising junior staff.
  • AI driven claims experience would be highly beneficial.
