Role Overview: Develop and own the internal framework for Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the internal framework for Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience.
- Create and implement the business continuity and operational resilience strategy for the bank.
- Collaborate with Business Continuity Coordinators across key business units to embed industry best practices and ensure staff preparedness for business continuity events.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes and resilience outcomes for the bank, its customers, and stakeholders.
- Review and enhance Business Impact Analysis (BIA) forms relevant to each business unit.
- Coordinate training and awareness campaigns on BCM and OR.
- Annually review IBS products and services and update as necessary.
- Work closely with third parties on business continuity and exit planning.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Experience in financial services, with at least ten years in a BCM role within a high-volume, fast-paced operations environment.
- Experience in re-engineering processes and documenting improvements and requirements.
- Collaborative, methodical, and organized working style.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across departments.
- Understanding of IBS establishment and selection criteria.
IT System Skills:
- Ability to challenge BAU processes and implement effective improvements.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with a willingness to learn.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and multitask.
