The Role: Financial Reporting Accountant
The Location: London City Centre (Hybrid working)
The Client: Real Estate Investment Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements under various GAAPs (UK, Dutch, Luxembourg, IFRS).
- Lead the audit process, including preparation of audit files and addressing queries.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and accounting teams to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Coordinate with tax advisors for timely submission of tax returns.
- Oversee VAT and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare board packs and financial analysis reports.
- Submit statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., PPPR, ONS).
- Supervise shared service centre outputs and outsourced providers.
- Support global finance teams with accounting data and queries.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years of experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Expertise in financial, tax, and regulatory reporting.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and process improvement focused.
- Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, OneStream, Trintech Cadency) is a plus.
