We are actively seeking a Payroll & Pensions Officer (Part Time) for a highly reputable company in Flixton, Greater Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful business on a permanent basis.
The hours of work are 29 hours per week (across 4 or 5 days), school term time only, plus 2 weeks.
The main duties include
- Ensure all colleagues are paid accurately in line with contractual timeframes
- Process payroll changes (leavers, contract changes, expenses) and monthly payroll checks as required
- Raise payroll errors and inaccuracies with the payroll provider via the appropriate routes.
- Ensure appropriate statutory deductions are made by sending relevant information to the payroll provider
- Check shared parental leave and maternity leave schedules are accurate
- Work with the wider People Team and Finance Team to continuously improve
- Update any employer pension contribution rates with the payroll provider
- Liaise with HMRC on taxation issues
- Attend monthly contract management meetings with payroll provider
Our client is looking for a candidate who has
- Payroll and pensions experience
- Experience of tax codes, deductions, SMP and SSP
- Payroll systems experience
- A continuous improvement mindset
