A global legal firm with a strong international presence is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their fast pace and growing team. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will act as a key commercial bridge between finance and broader operational divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management accounts preparation including detailed variance analysis, and clear financial commentary to foster strong cost control.
  • Business Partnering and taking lead in regular financial review meetings with budget holders, delivering insightful analysis and tracking action points.
  • Prepare general ledger analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT return schedules, and supporting schedules.
  • Lead annual budget and capital expenditure planning for designated business units, including model preparation, timeline management, and narrative commentary.
  • External & Regulatory Compliance including handling of external statistical and regulatory submissions.
  • Process improvement: Contribute to global reporting standardisation, KPI refinement, and cross-functional finance process enhancements.
  • Wider team and ad hoc support such as providing operational cover for vendor setups, support broader finance projects, and assist during peak reporting cycles.

Candidates will ideally have around five years of finance experience, preferably within a legal or professional services environment, supported by an accounting or finance degree, a relevant professional qualification (finalist, part-qualified, or QBE). Ideally you will have advanced Excel skills, be an organised self-starter, you excel at working independently, managing priorities, and translating complex financial metrics into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the business.
