Purpose:
To ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, and changes.
  • Calculate statutory payments, deductions, pensions, and benefits.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and payroll regulations.
  • Produce payroll reports and support audits.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous payroll administration experience.
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and statutory payments.
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP) desirable.
