Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Stock Condition Survey Manager to work with one of our Housing Association clients in Manchester.

What the job will be doing:

  • Management of all members of staff associated with stock condition surveys, administration, and data collection of stock condition information.
  • Setting and managing the annual stock condition survey plan to ensure agreed stock condition programme is delivered annually to make effective investment decisions, predict building element failure, and estimate costs in advance.
  • Ensuring that stock condition surveys across our portfolio are accurately and consistently recorded to update the organisation’s asset register.
  • Provide assurance on the quality of completed survey work, via the management of external consultants.
  • Provide internal expert advice in the surveying field on all manner of property related matters.
  • Work closely with all other staff within the Asset Strategy team providing technical advice and support on all aspects of asset management.
  • Analysis of data to ensure compliance with Decent Homes and the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) with knowledge of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018.

What you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent in Building or Construction OR extensive knowledge of building surveying approaches and best practice experience.
  • Experience of setting and managing stock condition survey programmes and developing asset investment programmes.
  • Knowledge of Statutory, Regulatory and Legislative requirements as applicable relating to: Decent Homes, HHSRS, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act, Gas safety, Legionella and IEE regulations.
