Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for an Estates Surveyor (MRICS) to work with one of our local authority clients in North London.

This is a contract role paying Β£450 per day, offered on a very hybrid basis with just one day a week required in the office; private sector backgrounds are very welcome to apply.

What you will be doing:
/n
/n
- Managing the property portfolio, worth circa Β£2.77bn, to maximise value, reduce costs and increase returns
/n
- Identifying and executing value add and asset management opportunities across the portfolio
/n
- Delivering commercial arrangements, including leases and acquisitions, that meet the council's needs
/n
- Acting as intelligent client to the supply chain and property managers on all property management issues
/n
- Supporting the wider property strategy, including regeneration, development enabling work and asset disposals
/n
- Building robust business cases and progressing them through investment boards up to Cabinet approval
/n
/n
What you will need:
/n
/n
- MRICS qualification with strong portfolio and estates management experience
/n
- A background in property management, acquisitions, disposals or development; local authority exposure is useful but private sector candidates are very welcome
/n
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate business strategy into real estate outcomes
/n
- Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders, Legal and Finance colleagues
/n
