A high-growth, modern building consultancy is looking for a driven, commercially-minded Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Newcastle. Founded by former big-firm surveyors, this business exists to do things better: faster decisions, practical solutions, direct client impact and genuine progression - without corporate layers or rigid boxes.

The work you'll lead:

  • Pre-acquisition and technical due diligence
  • Dilapidations strategy (landlord and tenant)
  • Contract administration and project delivery
  • Defect analysis and technical reporting
  • Schedules of condition and PPM surveys
  • Party wall and neighbourly matters
  • Exposure to expert witness and housing disrepair work

You will manage your own workload, develop client relationships and have freedom to shape your portfolio to your strengths.

What you need:

  • MRICS (post-chartership preferred)
  • Strong commercial and client-facing skills
  • Able to run instructions independently
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and confident communicating with decision-makers
  • Ambition to grow with the business (BD exposure welcome, not essential)
